The draft 2025 Community Development Needs Assessment Report is now available for public review. The County of San Luis Obispo will hold a public hearing on the report and its findings on December 10, 2024.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, to consider and identify public needs for the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and the 2025 Action Plan utilizing funding allocated through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Urban County of San Luis Obispo-which includes the cities of Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Morro Bay, Paso Robles, Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, and the County of San Luis Obispo-is inviting interested persons to attend a public hearing discussing county housing and community development needs which may be addressed through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs. The purpose of the hearing is to give the public an opportunity to express their views on the needs identified through the Community Development Needs Assessment Survey and the use of HUD funding.

Below are the primary objectives of the programs to be discussed during the hearing:
CDBG Program: Promote community development activities that benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and improve overall living conditions.
HOME Program: Increase the supply of affordable housing and strengthen communities by providing safe and decent housing options for those most in need.
ESG Program: Prevent homelessness, provide emergency shelter, and help individuals and families quickly transition into stable housing.
The Community Development Needs Assessment Hearing will be held before the County of San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Katcho Achadjian Government Center, located at 1055 Monterey Street in San Luis Obispo, CA.
