WEATHER UPDATES: Southern University closing at 1 p.m. on Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Francine

Southern University's Baton Rouge campuses are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Francine. Out of an abundance of caution, campuses will close at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Normal operations are expected to resume on Thursday, Sept. 12 at noon. This closure affects all classes, business operations, and activities at Southern University and A&M College, Southern University Law Center, and Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center.

Students who reside in on-campus housing are encouraged to shelter in place or to go home if it is safe to do so. Students should also stay in touch with their parents/guardians to communicate campus updates and other information.

Campus dining hours are adjusted as follows:

Dunn Dining Hall
Regular Hours for All Meals
Closing at 8 p.m.

Mayberry Dining Hall
Regular Hours for All Meals
Closing at 7 p.m.

Student Union Food Court
Closing at 1 p.m.

Wednesday
Dunn Dining Hall
Brunch
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Dinner
4-6 p.m.

Mayberry Dining Hall
Closed

Student Union Food Court
Closed
