A game changer for Veterans: American Legion, Regiment Gaming unveil egaming room

Editor's note: The sharing of any non-VA information does not constitute an endorsement of products and services on the part of VA. Veterans should verify the information with the organization offering.

What does the American Legion have in common with Regiment Gaming?

  1. Both organizations focus on enhancing the well-being of Veterans and service members.
  2. Both organizations are passionate about ending Veteran suicide.
  3. Both organizations are the largest in their respective arenas.
  4. All the above.

If you answered "D," you are correct! Additionally, both are getting creative to reach new generations. Through esports, Regiment Gaming unites Veterans through gaming camaraderie and support, and it connects people in real time who understand the difficulties of transitioning from military to civilian life. While they game, they laugh and support one another, and Regiment provides online opportunities to help Veterans with everything from learning about benefits to writing a civilian resume. Perhaps more importantly, Regiment Gaming aims to prevent Veteran suicide by providing community and resources where Veterans are spending their time-through gaming.

American Legion Post 58 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, recently debuted its "Bunker 58" gaming room with four custom built gaming PCs. The committee partnered with Paradox Customs for the build, Regiment Gaming for the platform and the local community to draw in over 100 people for their esports grand opening. Bunker 58 has brought in a younger demographic, many who had never stepped in the Legion post before. As they game with Regiment's community online, Veterans are now connected in-person at Post 58.

Regiment Gaming CEO Christopher Earl, a proud Veteran and avid gamer, is ecstatic with the success of the collaboration with the American Legion.
