Lakewood Avenue Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project Construction Look Ahead - Saturday Work

The contractor is planning on Saturday work.

Additional information about the work and planned impacts are described below.

Saturday, September 7, 2024:

• Lakewood Avenue will be closed between Mangum St and Roxboro St to accommodate pavement restoration.
  1. Traffic control signs and markings will be used a detour of traffic along Lakewood Avenue.
  2. Northbound traffic will be detoured using Blackwell St, Morehead Ave, and the Mangum Roxboro Connector.
  3. Southbound traffic will be detoured using Roxboro St, Jackie Robinson Dr, and Mangum St.
  4. Sidewalk traffic will be disrupted in this area.
  5. Noise levels in excess of the current City noise ordinance are anticipated during work hours.
  6. Planned work hours are 7 AM to 7 PM.
  7. No water or sewer service disruptions are anticipated
