Stagecoach East Scotland announced their 2024/2025 festive timetable earlier this month outlining service revisions taking place during the Christmas and New Year period.
The company make timetable revisions around the festive period every year. As with previous years, no service will operate on Christmas Day or New Years Day, with special timetables running on Boxing Day and 2nd January.
On Christmas Eve, a Tuesday school holiday timetable will run on all services until the evening with late journeys finishing earlier than normal.
On Hogmanay, Saturday timetables will run in Fife and school holiday timetables will run in Perth & Kinross and Dundee and Angus. Due to Hogmanay events in Edinburgh, some roads in the city centre may be closed and buses will be diverted and not able to serve all stops. Full details will appear on the Stagecoach bus website and app closer to the time. As with Christmas Eve, late journeys will finish earlier than normal.
From Friday 27th December to Monday 29th December services in Fife will run a Saturday timetable with the exception of late night journeys on service 99 and service 65 (which will not run). A school holiday timetable will run in Perth & Kinross and Angus & Dundee on these dates, except for service X56 which will follow a Saturday timetable.
Normal school holiday weekday timetables will resume on Friday, January 3rd 2024.
The company's Perth Customer Service Centre opening hours will be adjusted over the festive period. They will close early on the 23rd & 24th December at 5pm, will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, open as normal from 27th December to 29th December, closing at 5pm on 30th & 31st December, closed on New Year's Day, open till 5pm on January 2nd 2024. Regular hours will resume from 3rd January 2024.
