Marin City Shooting- Investigators Seek Information

In the early morning hours of Sunday August 4, 2024, Deputies assigned to the Southern Marin sub-station were dispatched to the area of 200 Drake Avenue, Marin City for multiple reports of gunshots. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes, and located evidence of a shooting.

During the initial investigation, Deputies located a subject nearby who was actively bleeding from the head. Based on initial statements, it appears this subject was involved in the incident but did not cooperate with investigators. A large crowd was on scene when deputies arrived. None of the community members present, provided information to help identify involved parties or determine the details of the shooting. Fire & Medical personnel were able to transport the individual suffering from the head injury to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released.

Investigators learned that an additional subject was privately transported to a nearby hospital suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim is in stable condition and is expected to survive his injuries.
