Monday, July 1st, 2024 American Bank Announces Senior Management Retirement and Promotion

Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Jaindl is pleased to announce the promotion of a member of American Bank's team to a Senior Management role. Ms. Sarah Westgate, Vice President and Project Manager has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective July 1, 2024. This position became open due to the retirement of Ms. Karina Behler, who has served in the COO role since March 2018.

Ms. Westgate joined American Bank in May 2002 first as a Teller and Personal Banking Representative at the Bank's Tilghman Street branch. She then transitioned into a role within the Compliance Department where she held various positions including Compliance and Training Specialist before becoming Assistant Operations Officer. She has served in the role of Vice President and Project Manager since 2021.

Jaindl stated, "The promotion of Sarah to our senior management team allows us to seamlessly transition this role to an individual with a strong skill set and the knowledge and background of American Bank that comes with her longevity within the organization. We look forward to seeing the contributions that Sarah will be able to make while in this position. We are also grateful for the significant contribution made by Karina while serving as our COO and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
