HARRISBURG-With a promising vision for the future of Pennsylvania, House Policy Committee Chair David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata) announced today the names of his appointees for vice and deputy chairs who will support efforts to deliver policy solutions for a more prosperous Pennsylvania.
Rep. Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks) will serve as Policy Committee vice chair. Reps. Eric Nelson (R-Westmoreland), Dallas Kephart (R-Cambria/Clearfield), Torren Ecker (Adams/Cumberland), Barb Gleim (Cumberland), and Dane Watro (Luzerne/Schuykill) will all serve as deputy chairs.
The Policy Committee is an incubator of ideas, serving as a critical House resource for innovative policy solutions and a voice for businesses, workers, students, and families all across Pennsylvania. During the 2025-2026 Legislative Session, the committee will host frequent hearings throughout the Commonwealth, identifying the most burdensome issues and then using the intelligence gathered at the hearings to put forth meaningful solutions. The committee intends to kickstart with a series of hearings on excellence in education.
"I am honored to serve alongside these six members, who represent diverse geographies and bring unique areas of expertise to the Policy Committee," said Rowe. "We are going to bring the American Dream back to the forefront, making it attainable for all Pennsylvanians by advocating for less red tape, lower taxes, and ensuring that every child in the Commonwealth has access to an excellent education."
