Trouble Notes to Perform at NMU

The Trouble Notes

The Trouble Notes, a trio that blends traditional folk, gritty progressive rock and explosive dance music, will perform a concert and deliver two free public presentations at Northern Michigan University on Friday, Oct. 4. The group's members represent the United States, Germany and Australia.

Their concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall. Tickets are $12 for general admission and free for youth 18 and under and NMU students. They can be purchased at tickets.nmu.edu.

The trio will participate in two free public presentations earlier in the day: one on music appreciation at 11 a.m.; and one on music forum at 1 p.m. Both will be held in Reynolds Recital Hall.

The Trouble Notes have toured Europe and North America, and performed on TV in the United States, Europe, Japan and Brazil.

According to BBC Radio, "Their musical influences take you on a journey around the world. You can't help clap very loudly, tap your feet or spontaneously jig along to their music. An absolute must-see."
