MOFA Spokesperson’s Statement on General Election in Botswana

The government of the Republic of Korea welcomes the election of Duma Boko, the leader of the Umbrella for Democratic Change, as President of the Republic of Botswana on October 30.

The ROK government also commends the previous President Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi's contribution to the further advancement of democracy in the Republic of Botswana through his promise of a smooth transition of power.

The ROK government looks forward to working with the new Botswana government to further develop future-oriented and cooperative relations between the two countries.
