Resurfacing Planned Next Week on Several State Highways in Chester, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing is planned next week on several state highways in Chester and Montgomery counties, under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Chester County

• Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Saint Peters Road between School Road and Temple Road in Warwick and North Coventry townships, Chester County, for paving.

Montgomery County

• Sunday, August 4, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, and Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Valley Green Road between Route 73 (Church Road) and Camp Hill Road in Springfield and Whitemarsh townships for milling and paving.
• Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Elm Street/Hector Street between Fayette Street and Cedar Grove Road/Barren Hill Road in Conshohocken Borough and Whitemarsh Township for daytime utility work and nightime paving.
• Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Graterford Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Perkiomen Creek Road in Skippack and Perkiomen townships for milling and paving.
• Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Salford Station Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Old Skippack Pike in Lower Frederick and Upper Salford townships for milling and paving.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
