SGMC Health Welcomes Pulmonologist Dr. Vivek Yadav

SGMC Health is excited to welcome Vivek Yadav, MD, to the health system, specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Yadav will see patients in the clinic setting at SGMC Pulmonology, as well as in the hospital setting.

Dr. Yadav is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine, board eligible in Critical Care Medicine, and has over twenty years of experience as a physician. As a pulmonologist and critical care physician, Dr. Yadav treats patients who have conditions involving their lungs. In the hospital setting, he treats patients who have severe illnesses or injuries affecting their breathing and require artificial support with breathing machines, such as a ventilator.

Dr. Yadav's goal as a physician is to create a trusting and supportive environment where his patients and their families feel comfortable and confident that their health needs will be taken care of. He believes in a compassionate and tailored approach to their healthcare. "Becoming a physician was a decision rooted deeply in my desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives by alleviating suffering, promoting health, and contributing to the well-being of my community," he shared.

Dr. Yadav received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Centre in New York and his fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Centre in New York.

He is excited to join SGMC Health because of the organization's strong community focus. Outside of work, Dr. Yadav enjoys staying active, volunteering, and spending time with his wife and two boys.
