After the 1-2 defeat to FC Augsburg, Sebastian Kehl, Nico Schlotterbeck and Julian Brandt spoke to the press. And they asked themselves questions too. Here's what they had to say.

Sebastian Kehl (in the mixed zone): \"We wanted to go into the lead and be able to approach the game from a different perspective. But then we conceded easy goals again. Even though we outnumbered them. We need to defend the goal better. And then we were playing catch-up again. At the end of the day, we just weren't enough of a threat throughout the game. I'm annoyed that we're conceding so many goals. We've spoken about that a lot, but now we're here having to explain things that I just can't explain. So Then Augsburg had the game they wanted, in parts very wild. And on our part, it wasn't structured any more.

Nico Schlotterbeck (on Sky): \"If we knew what it was, obviously we'd do something about it. Saying that none of us want that and that we've only got one point from our away games so far shouldn't be an excuse. We have to perform every three days. Now we have a really important game on Tuesday where we need to keep our chins up and pull ourselves together.\"

Julian Brandt (in the mixed zone): There are lots of things that are familiar from previous games we've had: We invest a lot in scoring a goal. And then we concede and it's 1-1, with what feels like not much effort from the opposition. Conceding goals is really, really hurting us at the moment. Up until half time, we still had a certain structure. We kept the ball low and there were certain formations. Conceding the second goal shortly after half time hit us hard. After that it got wild, the ball was going up in the air, and then there were the very physical tackles. And those aren't our main disciplines - it hasn't just been in the last few games that you've been able to see that. After that, the patient, structured game that you need when you're behind just wasn't there any more. I've been here for six years and I've never experienced a phase like this where you're losing almost every away game. I'm asking myself a lot of questions at the moment. But one thing is out of the question: We can't lose our trust in ourselves as a team. I don't know if it's bad luck or good luck that we've got another away game on Tuesday. We need to be able to play away games as if they were home games.\"
