Detroit Regional Chamber, Detroit Promise, Detroit Reconnect to Host FAFSA Completion Assistance for Students

Detroit Regional Chamber, Detroit Promise, and Detroit Reconnect will be hosting events across Southeast Michigan to help college students complete their FAFSA application and submitting a Michigan Reconnect scholarship application from FAFSA specialists, Reconnect Navigators, and local colleges.

FAFSA completion is significantly down in Michigan, and is a leading indicator of college enrollment. The State of Michigan provided funds to encourage local events for FAFSA completion and to raise awareness for Michigan Reconnect for adults ages 21-24, a program inspired by the Chamber's Detroit Reconnect.

This service is available for future and current college students, both traditional and non-traditional. Laptops will be provided, and colleges will be on-site to answer questions.
