Fatal Traffic Accident

Pueblo, CO- On November 2, 2024, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Pueblo Police Department officers were dispatched to southbound Interstate 25 at the 13th Street onramp for an accident involving a pedestrian. The Traffic Investigation Unit and Investigation Division were also dispatched to further investigate and process the scene.

Officers arrived on scene and determined a female was walking in the southbound lanes of traffic, south of 13th Street, and was hit by a car which knocked her down. She was then struck by a second vehicle while in the roadway. The female succumbed to her injuries and was identified by the Coroner as Rebecca Maes, 44.
