City offices will be closed Monday, January 2; collections schedule is modified
Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki and Public Works Commissioner Kelly Williams today released the City's Recycling and Trash Collection Schedule for 2023.
The schedule for the new year is concise and easy to read. It alerts citizens to changes in the regular schedule due to City holidays and displays the alternate dates for collection. Citizens are urged to download and share with their neighbors the 2023 schedule, which can be found here.
Commissioner Williams also reminded residents that trash will be collected on a modified holiday schedule next week, since the New Year's Day holiday falls on Monday, January 2 and City government offices will be closed. The collections schedule for next week is as follows:

Finally, motorists are reminded that the City of Wilmington's holiday season parking meter policy, in effect since Friday, November 25, 2022, runs until Monday, January 2, 2023. The City will again require payment at parking meters in both the Downtown Business District and the Riverfront Business District beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
