The County of Humboldt is collaborating with incorporated cities and community partners, including the Humboldt Waste Management Authority, Humboldt Transit Authority, Humboldt County Association of Governments and Redwood Coast Energy Authority, to release an updated draft of the climate action plan.

The purpose of the plan is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout Humboldt County. The plan examines strategies focused on reducing emissions from vehicle travel, electricity use, natural gas consumption and other sources of greenhouse gases at the local level.
