Executive Session

The City Commission of the City of Palatka will meet in a closed executive session to discuss collective bargaining negotiations on July 16, 2024 at 9:00 AM, at City Hall, 201 N. 2nd St., Palatka, FL 32177. In attendance will be: Mayor Correa, Commissioners McCaskill, Campbell, Borom, and Jones, City Mgr. Bell, Asst. City Mgr. Griffith, Attorney West, Clerk Krantz, Chief of Police Shaw, Asst. Chief of Police Newcomb, Finance Director Carty, and Human Resources employees Ms. Jones and Mr. Hunter.

  • This closed executive session is not open to the public.
  • The closed executive session is expected to last approximately 60 minutes.
  • Under the provisions of Section 447.605(1), Florida Statutes, a limited exemption from Section 286.011, Fla. Stat., exists for discussions between the chief executive officer of a public employer and the labor negotiating committee, including the legislative body of the public employer relative to collective bargaining.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows: 1. Call to Order, 2. Discussion/Direction Collective Bargaining Negotiations with the Police Benevolent Association, 3. Adjourn

Section 447.605, Florida Statutes provides that discussions between the chief executive officer of the public employer, or his representative, and the legislative body of the public employer relative to collective bargaining shall be closed and exempt from the provisions of s. 286.011 and provides as to the Public Record Act that work products developed by the public employer in preparation for negotiations, and during negotiations, shall be confidential and exempt from the provisions of s. 119.07(1), Florida Statutes
