UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host National Park Service Contracting Webinar Aug. 27

Small-business owners can learn about government contracting with the National Park Service Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Ron Kesterson will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled "Government Contracting: Doing Business With the National Park Service" from 11 a.m.-noon. The webinar is co-hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Wyoming District Office. To register, go here. Registration is free.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. SBA.

The U.S. government is the largest customer in the world. It buys all types of products and services -- in both large and small quantities -- and works to make sure small businesses get at least 23 percent of all federal contracting dollars.

The webinar will cover an introduction to the National Park Service, projects of interest for fiscal year 2024 and small-business considerations.

Kesterson is a supervisory contract specialist with the National Park Service. Other speakers are Aikta Marcoulier, regional administrator for SBA Region VIII, and Amy Lea, district director for the SBA Wyoming District Office.
