Crack Sealing Project to Begin Today in Columbia and Montour Counties

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a crack sealing project will begin today on multiple routes in Columbia and Montour counties. ​

Starting the week of Monday, September 30, 2024, the contractor, Annseal of PA, Inc., will begin crack sealing on the below listed routes by county. Motorists can expect single lane with flagging or lane restrictions where work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, weather permitting.

Columbia County

  • Interstate 80 in both directions between the Columbia/Montour County line (mile marker 228) and Route 11 Interchange (Lime Ridge / Exit 241) in South Centre Township.
  • Route 42 / Route 11 Interchange ramps (Route 8003) in Montour Township.
  • Interstate 80 / Route 487 Interchange ramps (Lightstreet / Route 8004) in Scott Township.
  • Route 42 / Route 11 Interchange ramps (Route 8005) in the Town of Bloomsburg.​

Montour County

  • Route 44 (Whitehall Road) in Anthony and Limestone townships
  • Route 54 (Continental Boulevard) in Derry and Valley townships, and Danville Borough
  • Route 254 (Broadway Road) in Limestone Township.
  • Route 2003 (School House Road) in Mahoning Township.
  • Route 2006 (Market Street, River Drive, Ridge Drive) in Danville Borough, and Mahoning and Cooper townships.
  • Route 642 (Danville Road) in Valley Township.
  • Interstate 80 in both directions just west and east of the Route 54 Interchange (Danville / mile marker 224) in Valley Township.
  • Interstate 80 / Route 54 Interchange (Danville / Route 8002) ramps in Valley Township.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.

Annseal of PA is the prime contractor for this $282,591 crack seal project. Work on this project is expected to be completed in November 2024.
