One injured in crash involving tractor trailer

On October 29, 2024, at approximately 9:41 a.m., New York State Police at Homer (Interstate) responded to Interstate 81 north in Marathon for a report of a crash involving a car and tractor trailer.

An investigation at the scene revealed that Scott Allan Lewis, age 60 of Auburn, NY was operating a tractor trailer when he failed to observe a Honda Accord slowing down and subsequently rear ended the Honda. The operator of the Honda, Roy Nelson, age 72 of Rochester, NY was transported by Marathon Ambulance to Guthrie Cortland Memorial for further treatment.
