On June 27, 2024, the Kansas Health Institute hosted a hybrid event to address health insurance disparities in Kansas, where the uninsured rate of 8.6 percent remains higher than the national average of 8.0 percent. The event highlighted that Hispanic Kansans have the highest uninsured rate at 20.1 percent, compared to 6.2 percent for non-Hispanic White Kansans. Participants engaged with the latest data through interactive maps and heard from a panel discussing the obstacles faced by the Hispanic community in obtaining insurance. The panel discussion also explored ongoing efforts to reduce these disparities and improve coverage among the Hispanic population.

A recording of this session will be uploaded soon.
