Adventure-seekers are invited to take part in the Guts & Gory Zombie Experience from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 28.

This unique event challenges participants to navigate wooded terrain while facing a series of obstacles as they attempt to evade a zombie horde of costumed volunteers. The Guts & Gory Experience will be held at Rorie-Galloway Day Camp, 3100 Lawson Road in Mesquite.

Participants may register either as runners (walkers are also welcome) or as volunteer zombies. The registration fee is $5 for runners ages 12-17 and $10 for runners 18 years and older. Participants will receive a special prize and t-shirts upon completion of the event, while supplies last. Zombie volunteers can register at no cost and are encouraged to wear their best zombie costumes.

Please note, the event will feature a form of live entertainment that simulates escaping from zombies and may include mild images of gore. Also, participants are advised that the race route includes a section in which powdered pigment will be thrown on runners.

All participants must be 12 years old or older, and parents are encouraged to use discretion when registering their children.
