BISMARCK, ND - The Bismarck Police Department issues this reminder concerning the parking of campers and trailers on Bismarck residential streets. "It is unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any boat, bumper pull travel trailer, fifth wheel trailer, pull type camper, motor home, house car, bus, mini motor home, or trailer on the public right-of-way in any residentially zoned area from December 1 to March 31. Any person violating this section is subject to a fine of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per each day of the violation."
As a reminder any automobile, boat, bumper pull travel trailer, fifth wheel trailer, pull type camper, motor home, house car, bus, mini motor home, or trailer parked or left standing in violation of this section for a consecutive period longer than forty-eight hours shall be considered abandoned, and it may be towed by the Police Department. The owner would be responsible for the tow bill as well as any storage costs before it is released.
Bismarck Police Department and Bismarck Public Works appreciates the public's support in removing these vehicles from the street. They may delay responses during large snowfalls by impeding traffic flow on narrow streets, and hinder snow removal by the snow plows.
