C&N Donates $50,000 for Local Flood Relief

C&N, a leading community-focused financial institution, is pleased to announce a $50,000 donation to support regional flood relief efforts. This decision comes after the extensive damage caused by Tropical Storm Debby in August, which affected communities across the C&N footprint, including Tioga, Sullivan, Lycoming, and Potter counties.

Following an evaluation of the region's most pressing needs and conversations with local leaders, donations will be allocated to three local organizations that have been key in providing relief to impacted residents:

  • $30,000 to The Tioga County Partnership for Community Health
  • $10,000 to the Lycoming United Way
  • $10,000 to the United Way of the Southern Tier

The Tioga County Partnership for Community Health will use C&N's donation to continue providing "on the ground" recovery services, including health support, shelter, and essential supplies to affected individuals. Contributions to the Lycoming United Way and the United Way of the Southern Tier will help address the ongoing and long-term needs of those impacted, including clean-up and rebuilding efforts.

"We believe it is our responsibility as a community partner to stand by our neighbors and provide support in times of crisis," says C&N President & CEO, Brad Scovill. "These organizations have been working tirelessly to help those affected by the flooding, and we are proud to support their efforts as they help rebuild lives for the families and businesses that call these communities home."

Over the years, C&N has been a leading supporter of local charities and nonprofits, especially through its annual Giving Back, Giving Together fundraising initiatives.

C&N's Regional President, Tom Rudy, Jr., says, "It's not just about financial support - it's also how we can show our community that we are here for them when they need us most. We're grateful for the opportunity to help and hope these contributions make a meaningful difference for the individuals and families facing the aftermath of these devastating floods."

In addition to the $50,000 donation, C&N is also offering special recovery loan programs and financial assistance to those affected by the flood. These programs are designed to provide flexible financial solutions and immediate support for individuals, families, and businesses impacted by the disaster. C&N remains committed to the long-term recovery of Tioga County and the surrounding areas and looks forward to further supporting local rebuilding efforts as the community works toward recovery and resilience.
