We are set to begin a sixteen-week project to improve Alfreton Bus Station from 1 July.
During this time the bus station will be closed, with buses going from other places within the town. The work is part of our £47 million Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) programme.
Improvements will be made to the accessibility to and around the bus station, especially for those with limited or restricted mobility. Changes will also be made to the layout of the station, so that the buses can be moved around more efficiently.
The bus station site will also have new shelters, seating and litter bins. The real time information will be updated, meaning passengers will be able to check when their next bus will arrive.
The surfacing of the ground within and immediately next to the Bus Station will also be fully replaced.
During the work, bus services will be relocated to existing and convenient temporary stops around the town centre. Please check the following list or contact your operator for the stop for your service. Leaflets and posters are also up on site for passengers to look at.

We own Alfreton Bus Station, though we are working closely with both Amber Valley Borough Council and Alfreton Town Council. We are also working alongside trentbarton, Stagecoach East Midlands, Derbyshire Community Transport and Hulleys of Baslow to ensure customer information is up to date and alternative stops are available.
