25th annual GIS Day to be celebrated Nov. 20
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The City of Fayetteville's Geographic Information System (GIS) Division invites the public to attend GIS Day, on behalf of the Northwest Chapter of Arkansas GIS Users.
This event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Ziegler Reception Room of the Fayetteville Public Library. Guests are invited to drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The celebration will showcase innovative applications of GIS technology in analysis, visualization, geospatial data insights and advancements in geospatial mapping and technology.
Hosted by Northwest Arkansas GIS Users, this event is co-sponsored by the City's GIS Division, Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission and University of Arkansas Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies.
"Join us to explore how GIS technology addresses challenges in transportation, infrastructure, planning, public safety, climate change and more," GIS Manager Greg Resz said. "Come meet local GIS professionals, share insights and discuss the latest regional advancements in GIS applications."
