DENVER - November 19, 2024 -- Janus Henderson Investors (NYSE: JHG) today announced it has filed a preliminary registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the Janus Henderson Transformational Growth ETF (Ticker: JXX).
The Fund will be managed by Portfolio Managers Nick Schommer, CFA, and Brian Recht.
JXX is an expansion of the Denver Equities team into managing ETFs, utilizing the team's well-established fundamental research philosophy and process. Janus Henderson has a long history of managing U.S. equity growth portfolios, including its current U.S. concentrated growth strategy that dates back to 1985. Mr. Schommer and Mr. Recht have managed these portfolios at Janus Henderson since 2016 and 2022, respectively.
The new actively managed ETF will seek to pursue its investment objective by normally investing primarily in a portfolio of approximately 20-30 equity securities selected for their growth potential.
Portfolio management seeks to construct an overall portfolio with characteristics tied to secular themes transforming society. The themes of focus, which may evolve over time and/or incorporate other themes, include: artificial intelligence, cloud computing, deglobalization, digitization (including e-commerce), healthcare innovation, or other long-term innovations.
The portfolio managers will apply a bottom-up approach that focuses on fundamental research and considers, among other factors, a company's sustainable competitive advantages, long-term growth potential, and shareholder value.
If all approvals are granted, the Fund is expected to launch in early February 2025.
