President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Speaker of the Folketing Søren Gade and the Deputy Speakers of the Danish Parliament.

"Thank you for this visit. We are always happy to see leaders from Denmark at the government and parliamentary level. We are very glad to have such strong friends and deeply appreciate that you have stood with us since the beginning of the full-scale war, providing significant assistance - not only militarily, but also financially and with humanitarian aid," the President said.

The President briefed them on the situation in the combat zone and the current needs of Ukraine's defenders.

He acknowledged Denmark's substantial contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and its leadership in the international Air Force Capability Coalition.

"We are grateful to Denmark for the first batch of F-16 fighter jets, which are already defending Ukraine from Russian missiles," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the bilateral security agreement signed in Lviv in February of this year, as well as ways to expand cooperation in joint weapons production.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked Denmark for its role in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts, in particular for its patronage over the reconstruction of Mykolaiv and the region.
