East County Advanced Water Purification Program Update

At the construction site north of Santee Lakes, roughly 80% of concrete for the site has been poured. The concrete will make up the advanced water purification facility, water recycling facilities, solids handling facilities and the new Education Center and administrative building. Construction of these structures will require about 52,400 cubic yards of concrete.

Construction of the purified water pipeline that will transport water from Santee to Lake Jennings is progressing with over 60% of the pipeline installed. Construction is currently taking place in Santee on Mast Boulevard at San Remo Road and from Halberns Boulevard to Carlton Hills Road. In Lakeside, construction continues on Riverside Drive and Mapleview Street between Ashwood Street and State Route 67. Construction on a wastewater pipeline is around 70% complete and continues on Fanita Parkway as well as at Santee Lakes near Lakes 3 and 4.
