HACU National Internship Program interns begin fall session

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities welcomed approximately 170 college students to the 2024 fall session of the HACU National Internship Program. A hybrid orientation was held on Aug. 30, 2024, for interns serving across federal agencies in Washington, D.C., and field offices nationwide. Interns will serve for 15 weeks as part of the fall internship session.

A welcome was given by HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores, followed by a keynote address by Jamie Salazar, a Youth and Workforce Development Specialist at the US Agency for International Development.

The following federal agencies in the Washington, D.C., metro area and field offices throughout the country are among those providing these paid internship opportunities to students:

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Export-Import Bank of the United States
  • Library of Congress
  • National Institutes of Health
  • U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing
  • United States Agency for International Development
  • United States Department of Agriculture
  • United States Department of Labor
