ODOT seeks public comment on S.R. 131 Bridge Replacement in Brown County

Public Comment Period Open for

S.R. 131 Bridge Replacement

CHILLICOTHE - As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation-District 9's Planning Department, the district's Environmental Office is seeking public input for a bridge replacement project on S.R. 131 in Brown County.

BRO-131-0.07(114529) It is proposed to replace the bridge on S.R. 131 at the 0.07 mile mark in Brown County, Ohio. The project is located in the rural area of Perry Township.

The project will require approximately 0.541 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is located along the forested stream channel.

No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% State.

The roadway will be closed for the duration of the project. The detour will be S.R. 131 to U.S. 50 to S.R. 133 to S.R. 131. The detour is approximately 10 miles

The environmental commitment date is 7/1/2025. The project is currently expected to be awarded 10/1/2025.
