New Chief Information Officer for Washington County

Washington County is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Ross as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Washington County.

Ross has served as an integral part of Washington County's Information Technology Services (ITS) department for over two decades, most recently as the Interim Chief Information Officer and IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager. He has extensive experience as a technology leader, complemented by his commitment to continuous learning and education.

During his tenure at the County, Ross has been instrumental in implementing cutting-edge IT systems and enhancing infrastructure to bolster security and efficiency. He is actively involved in spearheading emerging technology initiatives vital to the County's future, focusing on innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, network and infrastructure redesign projects, and the modernization of the County's Enterprise Resource Planning system.

As Assistant County Administrator Ann Ober commented, "Beyond his technical achievements, Luke brings a deep understanding of the specific challenges facing local governments, including budget management and stakeholder engagement. He's committed to leveraging technology to enhance reliability, security and operational effectiveness, all while prioritizing equity and sound financial stewardship. Luke also continues to play a pivotal role in strategic planning efforts and the development of the County capital improvement plan."

Ross remarked on his new leadership role, "I am thrilled and honored to be appointed as the Chief Information Officer for Washington County.
