CSRC and MAS Held the 8th Supervisory Roundtable

China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) held the 8thCSRC-MAS Supervisory Roundtable on June 14, 2024 in Singapore.

Mr. Chen Huaping, Vice Chairman of the CSRC, and Ms. Ho Hern Shin, Deputy Managing Director of the MAS, attended and addressed the meeting. Both sides highly praised the positive progress achieved in bilateral cooperation in the capital markets since the 7thCSRC-MAS Supervisory Roundtable and exchanged views on the latest regulatory developments and practices in respective areas including the supervision of securities issuance and listing, derivatives market regulation, and sustainability report of listed companies. Consensus was reached on deepening the ETF connectivity and index cooperation, as well as enhancing exchanges and mutual learning in the field of green finance. Both sides look forward to further strengthening cooperation in the capital markets so as to contribute to the all-round high-quality future-oriented partnership between the two countries. The Roundtable was attended by over 30 participants including heads of related departments from the CSRC and the MAS, and representatives from securities exchanges of both countries.

The Roundtable was established to implement relevant outcomes of President Xi Jinping's state visit to Singapore in November 2015, and serves as an important platform to facilitate bilateral dialogue between regulators and market institutions and promote pragmatic cooperation between capital markets of the two countries.
