A walk-through culture: How UTSA’s collection of unique artwork celebrates the richness of the Hispanic heritage

Todo Tiene Su Efecto, 2013, by Adriana M. Garcia, is located in the Main Building in the ConTex Department (MB 1.410.)

Lucha Libre: The Man in the Silver Mask, 2007, by Xavier Garcia, is located on the second floor of the JPL, next to South Commons.

Historic San Antonio, 1980, by Sandra Freeze Hulse is located along the JPL's grand staircase on the second floor. The tapestry was created for what was then the First Federal Savings and Loan office in San Antonio. Guaranty Bank, which acquired the First Federal in the 1990s, ultimately donated the piece to The UTSA Art Collection.

Fiesta, 1985, by Luis Jimenez. is located in the John Peace Library (JPL 2.01.34.)

Yo No Cuento Pero Debo Contarte, 2005, by Alberto Mijangos is located in the John Peace Library (JPL 2.01.01.)

Frida Grandísima, 2003, by Richard Duardo, is located in the Main Building (MB 3.112.)
