Orrick Advises the Consortium Composed of Egis, Bouygues Construction, Serena Industrial Partners, Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, and TIIC on the Award of New Concession for[...]

Orrick has advised the consortium composed of Egis, Bouygues Construction, Serena Industrial Partners, Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur, and TIIC, which was awarded the new concession for Paris-Beauvais airport with a view to its modernization.

The consortium has formed a new company, named Bellova, which signed the concession contract with the mixed syndicate of Beauvais-Tillé airport, effective 1 October. Bellova also signed the project and financing documentation with its partners for the realization of the operation.

The modernization project includes strong commitments in terms of environmental and sustainable development, notably including a noise reduction plan. Bellova aims to achieve ACA (Airport Carbon Accreditation) level 3+ by 2028, and then ACA level 4+ before 2032, thus pursuing ambitious goals compatible with the Paris Agreement concluded at COP21.

Bellova has also made strong commitments to involve local businesses. The project aims to generate numerous direct and indirect jobs.

The project consists of a 22-month study phase and a 40-month construction phase, with the progressive commissioning of the new infrastructures. Investments amount to nearly 190 million euros and are entrusted to a group of design-builders led by Bouygues Bâtiment Grand Ouest.

A multidisciplinary team led by Geoffroy Berthon (Partner, Public Law, Energy & Infrastructure) and Paul Loisel (Partner, Finance, Energy & Infrastructure) advised the consortium and Bellova with:
