The Fargo Police Department Responds to Report of Individual in Red River

Deceased individual found near the 1400 block of Elm Street North

On Thursday, July 4, at approximately 9:45 p.m., a passer-by called 911 to report a person in the Red River. The Fargo Police Department responded along with the Fargo Fire Department and the Moorhead Fire Department. An FPD officer locat¬ed a deceased adult male in the river near the 1400 block of Elm Street North.

The Fargo Fire Department assisted the FPD with the removal of the body from the river. The name of the individual is not being released at this time to allow for notification of the next-of-kin.
