Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the traffic signal activation planned for this week at the Route 743 intersection with the Conewago Recreation Trail in Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County, has been rescheduled.

The signal is on flash mode and will be fully activated next week, possibly on Tuesday, July 23. Full activation was initially planned for this Thursday, July 18, but the contractor is awaiting delivery of a part related to the signal's radar detection system.
Delivery is expected next Monday which should allow the contractor to fully activate the system by Tuesday.

This project consists of traffic signal installation to assist pedestrians and bicyclists in crossing the road, trail crossing improvements, and other miscellaneous construction at the Route 743 intersection with the Conewago Recreation Trail.

Kinsley Construction of York, PA, is the contractor on this $406,600 project. All work is expected to be completed by September 23, 2024.
