ECA, Egypt Hold Capacity Building Workshop for Libyan Tax officials

Cairo, August 2^nd, 2024 (ECA) - The Economic commission for Africa is holding, in partnership with the Egyptian Tax Authority, a capacity-building workshop for the benefit of Libyan tax officials on 4-8 August 2024, at the Egyptian Tax Training Center in Cairo, Egypt.

This workshop will provide a comprehensive training on international accounting standards, financial reporting, and tax documentation, and focus on improving compliance and revenue collection in the industrial sector.

Participants will gain expertise in auditing large industrial taxpayers, understanding international financial reporting standards, and addressing complex transactions.

In addition to enhancing the skills of Libyan tax officials, the workshop seeks to promote South-South cooperation and the exchange of best practices between Egyptian and Libyan officials.
