City Council Meeting Attendance Reminders for October 15, 2024

Please review the following reminders before attending the October 15, 2024 City Council Meeting at City Hall:

• Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
• Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited.
• ADA Accessible elevator is available in the rear entrance of City Hall.
• All other guests are asked to use the Third Street entrance.
• Guests may choose from the three attached public comment options:
  • General Public Comment - This is the first period of public comment near the beginning of the meeting. Members of the public may speak in-person in the Council Chamber or call (818) 238-3335. Additional public comment cards a nd calls will not be accepted once teh public comment period commences. Please note, comments on agenda items and non-agenda items are alalowed, but commenters who choose to speak about an agenda item will NOT be allowed to comment again during the public comment period after the agenda item is presented to Council.
  • Public Comment Following Reports to Council (Items #9, #10, and #11) - The Reports to Council Public Comment periods are only accepted in person - public comment cards must be submitted before the public comment period begins for each report to Council. Please note, comments during these public comment periods must pertain to the specific agenda item. Speakers will not be allowed to comment during these periods if they have already spoken about the specific agenda item during General Public Comment.

Effective September 24, 2024: Speaker times will be determined based on the total number of public comment cards and callers in the queue at the start of each public comment period (see below). Please note, the Presiding Officer has the discretion to reduce speaking time for each speaker to ensure that City business can be completed at a reasonable hour. Together we can safely accommodate all of our speakers, audience members, and community partners.

• 1-20 speakers: 3 minutes each
• 21-39 speakers: 2 minutes each
• 40+ speakers: 1 minute each
