District A-1 Drug Control Unit Makes Drug Trafficking Arrest in the North End

At about 10:00 AM, on Monday, July 01^st, 2024, officers assigned to the A-1 Drug Control Unit arrested Fortunato D'Ampolo, 22, of Boston on drug charges and criminal trespass.

Officers were monitoring the North End due to information received about drug activity occurring in the area. While conducting surveillance inside the "Culitto Park" at 10 Stillman Street, officers observed a drug transaction between Fortunato D'Ampolo and a 34 year old male. Officers detained D'Ampolo and recovered 27 grams of Fentanyl, 38 grams of Crack Cocaine, 52 Oxycodone pills, 16 Xanax pills, 4 Clonazepam pills, and 2 gabapentin pills. A total of $1,842.00 in US currency was recovered from D'Ampolo.

D'Ampolo is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the charges of Trafficking class A, Trafficking Class B, Distribution of class A, Distribution of Class B, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Class A, Possession to Distribute Class B, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Class C, Possession with the Intent to Distribute C1 E and Criminal Trespass.

A second individual will be for summonsed for Possession of class A and Possession of Class B.
