Update on DTE streetlight project

There is the latest on the ongoing DTE project to upgrade street lights along Telegraph Road. This program is replacing all lighting mechanics, wires and poles. When finished, all maintenance will transfer to DTE on a permanent basis.

Telegraph between Goddard and Wick: All Telegraph and median lighting is functioning.

Telegraph between Wick and Ecorse: Northbound Telegraph and the east side of the median will be completed by November 15. Southbound Telegraph and the west side of the median will be complete by December 6.

Telegraph between Ecorse and Van Born: Northbound Telegraph and the east side of the media will be complete by December 20. Southbound Telegraph and the west side of the median will be complete by January 3, 2025.

The City of Taylor apologizes for any inconvenience, but once this project is finished, it will work better than it ever has before and will save hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer money.
