L.A. Area Chamber Commends Mayor Bass on Appointing Jim McDonnell as LAPD Chief

LOS ANGELES, CA - October 4, 2024 - The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement regarding Mayor Karen Bass' appointment of Jim McDonnell as Chief of Police for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD):

With his extensive background as a former Deputy Chief at LAPD, Chief of Police in Long Beach, and Sheriff of Los Angeles County, McDonnell brings a wealth of experience that makes him exceptionally qualified to lead our city's law enforcement efforts," said Maria S.
