ASBTDC to Host Sessions to Help Small Businesses in September

JONESBORO -The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University will offer several opportunities in September for small businesses to learn about growing a business.

The ASBTDC provides one-to-one confidential guidance to business owners and entrepreneurs.
Primary areas of assistance include business planning, financial analysis, market research, loan packaging, growth and expansion, marketing and profitability.

Consulting sessions will provide opportunities for business owners to meet with an ASBTDC business consultant. There are limited spots for consulting sessions.

Events will be held as follows:

- Tuesday, Sept. 3, Robert Bahn, ASBTDC business consultant, will lead the presentation "Holiday Prep for Small Businesses" from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., followed by consulting sessions from 2 until 4 p.m. Sessions will be held at the Farmers Bank and Trust in Blytheville, 400 West Main St.

- Tuesday, Sept. 10, Rheanna Branscum, ASBTDC business consultant, will lead consulting sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce which is located at 400 Vine St.

- Tuesday, Sept. 10, Laura Miller, ASBTDC business consultant, will lead consulting sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 209 Hazel St.
- Tuesday, Sept. 17, Branscum will lead a presentation, "Digital Marketing and Social Media," from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Bahn will join her for consulting sessions from 2-4 p.m. Sessions will take place at the Farmers Bank and Trust in Blytheville, located at 400 West Main St.

- Tuesday, Sept. 17, Miller will lead consulting sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at The Generating Innovative Network, located at 200-212 North Pruett St.

- Thursday, Sept. 19, Reba Shipley, a senior tax specialist at M&S Financial LLC, will lead an online session from 2 until 3:30 p.m. called "Getting Tax Ready."

- Tuesday, Sept. 24, Miller will lead consulting sessions from 10 a.m. until noon in room 103 of the Corporate and Community Education/Adult Education Complex at Black River Technical College, at 1410 Highway 304 East.

- Tuesday, Sept. 24, Miller will lead consulting sessions from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, located at 109 Southwest Front St. In Walnut Ridge

- Thursday, Sept. 26, Shawn Christian from Arvest Bank will lead a session from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. called "Fraud and Risk Mitigation Workshop," at the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, at 1709 East Nettleton Ave.
