Weekend track work will affect Red, Yellow, and Green lines. Plus, Veterans Day service information

On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the Red Line will run in two segments with buses replacing trains between Medical Center and Grosvenor-Strathmore as crews perform aerial structure repairs including renewing rails, fasteners, and crossties, third rail maintenance and grout pad repair.

On the Yellow and Green lines, Metro will replace a switch machine at Mt. Vernon Sq., making time between trains slightly longer than usual.

Service Information (Saturday-Monday)

Red Line: Free shuttle buses replace trains between Medical Center and Grosvenor-Strathmore. Trains run every 8 minutes (daytime) and 10 minutes (evening) between Shady Grove and Grosvenor and between Medical Center and Glenmont.

Green Line: Trains run every 12 minutes

Yellow Line: Trains run every 12 minutes

Blue Line: Normal service

Orange Line: Normal service

Silver Line: Normal service

Veterans Day Service Information

On Monday, November 11, Metrorail will be operating from 5 a.m. to midnight with normal weekend frequencies, except for the service changes listed above.

Metrobus will operate on a Saturday Supplemental schedule . All buses that normally run on Saturday will operate in addition to selected routes. Check timetables or use Metro's trip planner at wmata.com for schedules to travel on the observed holiday.

MetroAccess subscription trips will be canceled Monday. Customers wishing to travel on the holiday should make a separate reservation online or by calling 301-562-5360 (TTY 301-588-7535).

Normal weekday fares will be in effect. Parking will be free at all Metro-owned parking lots and garages.
