U.S. Flag Retirement Ceremony to be Held at Baton Rouge City Hall

Baton Rouge, LA - July 17, 2024 - The Mayor's Advisory Council on Veterans Affairs (MACVA) invites the public to a special U.S. Flag Retirement Ceremony dedicated to honor and retire our nation's symbol, the United States American Flag.

This meaningful event will feature a formal retirement ceremony for over 1,600 unserviceable U.S. Flags and provide an opportunity for community members to lend a hand in folding and retiring these flags with proper respect.

Time: 9 AM - 2 PM

Where: Baton Rouge City Hall, 222 St. Louis Street, 1st Floor Lobby
