USDA Announces Availability of Low-Interest Physical Loss Loans for Crawford Harrison and Perry County Producers Affected by May 26, 2024, Weather Events

Crawford, Harrison and Perry Counties are Eligible as Contiguous Counties

INDIANAPOLIS, JULY 3, 2024 - Physical loss loans through the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) can help producers repair or replace damaged or destroyed physical property essential to the success of the agricultural operation, including livestock losses. Examples of property commonly affected include essential farm buildings, fixtures to real estate, equipment, livestock, perennial crops, fruit and nut bearing trees, and harvested or stored crops and hay.

Impacted Area: Kentucky

Triggering Disaster: Tornado high winds, excessive rains, flash flood and hail that occurred May 26, 2024, in ten (10) Kentucky counties.

Application Deadline: February 28, 2025

Primary Counties Eligible: 10 Counties in Kentucky - Barren, Boyle, Butler, Caldwell, Calloway, Grayson, Lyon, Meade, Mercer and Metcalfe

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible:

Indiana: Crawford, Harrison and Perry

Kentucky: Adair, Allen, Anderson, Breckinridge, Casey, Christian, Crittenden, Cumberland, Edmonson, Garrard, Graves, Green, Hardin, Hart, Hopkins, Jessamine, Lincoln, Livingston, Logan, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Trigg, Warren, Washington, Webster and Woodford
