The New York State Police are advising motorists that on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, police agencies in Monroe County will be provide an escort for Cleveland, Ohio Police Officer Jamieson Ritter, of Webster, NY. Officer Ritter was shot and killed in the line of duty in Cleveland on July 4 while responding to a call. Officer Ritter's remains are being escorted back from Cleveland for funeral services that will be held later this week.

The New York State Police and law enforcement agencies from Monroe County will escort Officer Ritter from NYS Thruway Exit 47 at approximately 2:00 p.m. The escort will travel along I-390 north, to I-590 north, to State Route 104 east, and then take the exit for State Route 250. From there, the escort will travel south on State Route 250 to the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Webster, NY.
