MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Dual Left Turn Lane Reduced to Single Left Turn Lane on Chestnut Expressway

At Sherman Avenue In Springfield Beginning Friday, August 30 for Permit Work

Where: Dual left-turn lanes will be reduced to a single left-turn lane at Chestnut Expressway to Sherman Avenue in Springfield

When: Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 30 and continuing for up to 18 months

What: Contractor crews will be conducting permit work.

Traffic Impacts:

• Dual left-turn lanes will be reduced to a single left-turn lane at Chestnut Expressway to Sherman Avenue as crews Close the far left-turn lane in Springfield
• Northbound right-turn lane Closed on Sherman Avenue just north of Chestnut Expressway
• Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
• Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule
