Vets SAFE Act Passes House of Representatives
I am very pleased to report that this week the House of Representatives passed H.R. 7365, the Veterans Expedited TSA Screening (VETS) Safe Travel Act, bipartisan legislation I introduced that would provide TSA PreCheck to severely injured or disabled veterans free of charge.
Arizona is home to over 450,000 veterans and nearly 30% of those veterans live with a disability, making traveling through airports difficult. Waiting in long and winding lines, having to remove their shoes, and maintaining balance to stand in an airport security scanner can be difficult tasks for a disabled veteran. No American veteran, particularly disabled veterans, should be hassled at our airports. Using information from the Department of Veterans Affairs, approximately 325,000 veterans would become eligible for this free PreCheck screening program.

Survey Says?
Last week, I included a survey in my newsletter asking if you agreed with Joe Biden's recent decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, for crimes he has or may have committed from 2014 to 2024. Nearly 1,000 people responded and here are the results:
❎ 96% disagreed with Joe Biden's decision to pardon Hunter Biden.
❎ 3% agreed with Joe Biden's decision to pardon Hunter Biden.
❎ 1% were unsure.
Thank you to everyone who participated.
Very Special Visitor Stops by My Office
On multiple occasions, I have worked closely with the White Coat Waste Project, a taxpayer watchdog group representing more than two million liberty-lovers and animal-lovers who all agree that taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay over $20 billion every year for wasteful and cruel experiments on dogs, cats, and other animals.
For example, I signed a letterearlier this yearcriticizing the National Institutes of Health(NIH) for conducting dog and cat experiments at taxpayers' expense. I also signed a recent lettercriticizing EPA for its reversal on animal testing and I have been working closely with the White Coat Waste Project since 2020 to defund the Wuhan lab - the research lab in China responsible for the lab leak that caused the COVID-19 pandemic.
This week, Uno, a rescued NIH lab beagle, stopped by my office to "say" thank you for helping draw attention to this important issue. Unowas the very first beagle released from Envigo, the disgraced breeder shut down in 2022 for selling puppies to the NIHand labs funded by Dr. Fauci.
Dogs like Uno shouldn't be abused in wasteful government experiments and taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay for wasteful, cruel and dangerous animal experiments like the ones in Wuhan that caused the pandemic.
Gosar Recognized by NumbersUSA
This week, I received the True Reformer award by NumbersUSA for my A+ grade supporting and sponsoring legislation to secure the border from the surge of illegals pouring into our country. Our open border is a threat to our nation and our citizens. I look forward to working with President-elect Trump to secure our border and end the invasion of illegals.

Arizona Attorney General Sues Saudi Firm Over Water Usage
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has been predictably hit and miss in her job, but she has a hit this week.
Her office filed suit against a Saudi-owned agricultural company alleging that it has pumped excessive groundwater in La Paz County. I have raised concerns about this use for several years. This alfalfa farm is very water-intensive, and the product gets shipped overseas. Arizona's groundwater supply is precious, and it should be used to help Arizonans.
The suit alleges that the company's water usage threatens public health and safety, highlighting ongoing concerns about water rights and resource management in the state. We will follow this suit and see where it takes us.
It's Mail Time!
I receive thousands of letters each week and I appreciate hearing from everyone. Here are a few of those who wrote in this week:

STOP BIDEN FROM SELLING OFF BORDER WALL PARTS FOR PENNIES OR LESS ON THE DOLLAR. HE SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SELL THINGS BOUGHT WITH TAX DOLLARS.
✍ Michael, you're no doubt referring to troubling news reportsthis week that Joe Biden is spending his final weeks quietly clearing away unused southern border wall materials to put up for auction. The materials were left unused following Joe Biden's decision to halt the wall's construction and roll back President Trump's very effective immigration policies resulting in the massive surge of more than 13 million illegal immigrants crossing the southern border. According to video footage taken by a U.S. Customs agent, numerous flatbed trucks were seen hauling away dismantled sections of the steel wall near Tucson, Arizona, a hotspot for illegal crossings, with the agent estimating a half-mile's worth of parts are being removed daily. The victimization of Americans by illegal aliens is preventable if we enforce the law and seal the border. We need these materials so President Trump can conduct the much-needed work of completing the construction of the wall along the southern border. Clearly, Biden's goal before he leaves office is to continue the flood of illegals and make it as difficult as possible for President Trump. The good news is that Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced that Texas plans to purchase the border wall materials being sold by Joe Biden and return them to Donald Trump.
Steven S. from Buckeye, AZ shares:
I saw an article about Ukraine sending drones and technicians to Syrian rebels. I was wondering how, since Ukraine is receiving American weapons and money to help them fight back against Russia, they can afford to send drones to Syria.
✍ Steven, as you referenced, rebels in Syria recently toppled the government of Bashar al-Assad. Amid this, The Washington Post reported that Ukraine sent 20 drone operators and 150 drones to help Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). HTS is designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the Secretary of State. I have voted against every effort to send American taxpayer dollars to Ukraine. If Ukraine can afford to support a terrorist group in Syria and send some spare drones to Syria, then they clearly do not need aid and support from the United States. The United States has sent north of $200 billion to Ukraine because we've been told by Biden, the military-industrial complex and neocons that Russia is on the verge of destroying them, but Ukraine somehow can afford to send drones to Syria? Maybe Biden will ask Zelenskyy for a refund before he leaves office.
